As the charitable arm of Xi Mu Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., The Pearl Foundation takes a holistic approach to servicing the community. Exemplifying the ideals of scholarship, service and sisterly love, the organization funds three annual scholarships, partners with community based organizations to provide service, and mentors youth through the youth auxiliaries of the sorority. The Pearl Foundation also provides funding for signature programs developed by Xi Mu Zeta Chapter to fulfill the demonstrated needs of our community.
Signature programs are developed with the support of The Pearl Foundation to fulfill specific needs of the community. These programs have included an Annual Holiday Toy Drive, an Adopt-a-Family project, and the Girl Power project. The Holiday Toy Drive garners enough gifts to make the holidays a little brighter for each child residing at the Family Rescue Shelter and Transitional Housing Project, and toys for the families of the Adopt-a-Family project. The Adopt-a-Family project also provides the adopted families with food, staples and other items needed during the holiday season and beyond. The Girl Power project was developed to address the myriad of issues currently affecting young women and girls today, including high self-esteem, building healthy relationships, and the importance of good credit. The signature programs may change or evolve depending on the need.
