Xi Mu Zeta Chapter partnered with S.W.A.G.G (Students with a Goal of Greatness) in 2014 to host Girl Power. The annual event is held at Prairie Hills Junior High School, in Markham, Illinios. Girls from ages 7-17 enjoy workshops, refreshments and entertainment. Girl Power was developed to address the myriad of issues affecting young women, including building healthy relationships, self-esteem and non-traditional careers for women.

City of Markham

Xi Mu Zeta moved its meetings to Markham City Hall in 2008, with a vision to have a greater impact on the community. The chapter participates in Markham's Winter Wonderland, Drive the Dixie and Markham Fest. Drive the Dixie, a parade of vintage cars, is a chapter favorite.

Ingalls Hospital and Xi Mu Zeta partnered in 2004. Ingalls Hospital is the home of Xi Mu Zeta's Stork's Nest. Xi Mu Zeta currently participates in the hospital's annual KidFest in July. The Chapter provides information regarding our youth auxiliaries and Stork's Nest program. There are also games and goodies for the kids. This is the second year Xi Mu Zeta particpated in the hospital's Babypalooza on May 16th. The chapter was on hand to distribute information on Stork's Nest and healthy snacks to expectant mothers.
